Johnny Tremain Reading Selection and Project Sample
The 18 x 12 construction paper is divided into 8 congruent rectangles. The easiest way is to place the paper landscape style then fold the paper down so the top and bottom touch (in half). Once you do that, fold the paper in half from left to right twice, this should give you 8 congruent rectangles. Use a ruler and measure 1/2 inch at the top of each rectangle for a title box. Each of the six illustrative rectangles will have a title and symbolic representations of the chapter the students' selected. Students may draw more than one symbol if desired. There should be no negative space left in the symbolic portions. The two rectangles on the right are all characters and descriptions for each. It should have "small font" as we have a lot of characters and tend to use the backside as well.
